The US Government Expects the Coronavirus to Make Considerably More Victims
The US government expects the coronavirus to make considerably more victims. At the beginning of June, about 3,000 people a day are expected to die from the virus.
The New York Times reports, based on an internal government document. That would almost double the current mortality rate.
According to the predictions of government experts, the virus will also spread much faster.
Some 200,000 new corona cases are expected to be added by the end of the month. That is still 25,000.
President Trump, meanwhile, has called on states to relax restrictions to get the economy going again.
