Microsoft Sees Large-Scale Russian Cyber Attacks on Allies Ukraine
Russian hackers carry out large-scale cyber attacks on Ukraine’s western allies. So says the American software giant Microsoft.
The hackers are mainly targeting government networks in NATO countries, it says.
The biggest target is the United States, but Microsoft identified a total of cyber attacks against 128 organizations in 42 different countries besides Ukraine.
According to the company, the Russian hackers managed to penetrate the targeted network in 29 percent of the cases.
In at least a quarter of the successful attacks, they would also have stolen data.
