Last Corona Patient in New Zealand Cured Declared: Said the Prime Minister. New Zealand appears to be freed from the coronavirus.

 

The last patient who still showed symptoms of illness was declared cured and was allowed to go out of isolation.

In New Zealand, there were 1,154 confirmed cases and 22 deaths (out of five million inhabitants).

There have been no new infections in the past 17 days.

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern said at a news conference that she celebrated the good news with a “dance” in her living room at home.
