Airlines Can Apply to Resume Flights to China

Foreign airlines will once again be able to resume flights to China. Aviation authority CAAC has told 95 airlines that they can apply for this.

Due to the corona crisis, airlines temporarily discontinued their flights to and from China. This is to prevent the virus from spreading.

KLM also temporarily does not carry passengers, but it still carries out cargo flights to the country.

The company indicates that it also wishes to carry out passenger flights and has submitted an application for this.

According to the CAAC, the number of international flights will increase by fifty by June 8 to 150 per week.

China expects an average of 4,700 passengers per day, against 3,000 travellers now.
