Veto Trump Seems to Be Dying in His Last Days

More than three weeks before Donald Trump loses his post as president of the United States, Congress appears to be vetoing him for the first time.

With his declining authority, Trump has little chance that his veto on the defence budget will be upheld by the parliament this time.

Trump vetoed the defence post, which has already been approved by both the House of Representatives and the Senate. These are details from the budget of EUR 606 billion.

Trump wanted a section that protects major Internet giants from liability in civil law to be dropped. He tried to change military institutions’ names to generals of the breakaway South from the Civil War (1861-1865) deleted mentioned. Lawmakers ignored Trump’s wishes and overwhelmingly supported the new budget.

The chance that they will change their mind in the House on Monday and in the Senate on Tuesday is considered small. It is then a final defeat for Trump. Shortly after, he unwillingly signed a law for generous aid measures during the corona crisis worth $ 900 billion.

It is far too much of a burden for the American state and taxpayer, according to Trump, but he gave in under political pressure Sunday night and gritted his teeth and signed his outside in Mar-a-Lago, Florida.
