US Supreme Court Rejects Donald Trump’s Attempt to Keep Presidential Archives Secret

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled on Wednesday that former President Donald Trump cannot prevent the release of his presidential files.

The Supreme Court rejects former US President Donald Trumps’ attempt to keep documents away from the commission investigating the storming of the Capitol in early 2021. An eight-to-one majority rejected it.

This clears the way for the Commission of Inquiry to request the documents as part of its investigation into the responsibility of Donald Trump and his entourage in the attack on the Capitol by his supporters.

According to CNN, there are more than 700 documents that should provide more clarity about the former president’s role.
