Ukrainian Minister Can’t Say Anything About Attack in Russia
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitro Kuleba cannot confirm or deny Ukraine’s involvement in a possible airstrike on a fuel depot in the Russian city of Belgorod. He says he does not have all military information.
According to Russia, Ukraine is responsible for the events in Belgorod, a city about 30 kilometres from Ukraine. It is the first time that Russian authorities have accused Ukraine of such an airstrike against a target in Russia.
Russia says two Ukrainian military helicopters flew over the border Friday morning for an attack on a facility of the Russian state oil company Rosneft. A large fire started.
According to the regional governor, two employees were injured, and nearby residents were also evacuated. However, there is no independent confirmation of the attack yet.
