In their attempt to retake territory from the Russians, Ukrainian forces in the southern coastal region have had some success. This is reported by the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense.

 

In these areas, Russians have taken up defensive positions.

In eastern Ukraine, Russian troops are regrouping to resume the attack on Slovyansk (Donetsk region).

They are also trying to encircle the hard-fought Severodonetsk in the neighbouring Luhansk region. That is one of the last cities that Ukraine has in its hands.
