Sabrina Carpenter Garnered the Most Votes in the US Elections
Sabrina Carpenter has had the most significant impact on all the musicians and artists who tried to mobilize voters for the US presidential election at their concerts.
Headcount is a platform where people can register to vote in the US. It does this by being present at concerts, festivals and other cultural and leisure activities. Many artists and musicians work with the platform to convince Americans to vote, for example, by taking the staff on their American tour to approach and register attendees at each concert.
Now that the election is over, 25-year-old Sabrina Carpenter has had the most significant impact through the platform. The singer of hits like “Please, Please,” “Espresso,” “mobilized 35,814 voters to vote and convinced 263,087 others to register.
“Through our partnerships with over 100 A-list artists — including Sabrina Carpenter, Green Day, Ariana Grande and many more — Headcount had a record year, registering over 450,000 new voters and engaging over 3 million people in casting their ballots,” Lucille Wenegieme, the nonprofit’s executive director, said in a statement.
“Our model works because musicians and celebrities have the cultural cache and an intimate connection to their fans, especially among young people, whose identity as a particular artist’s fan can be even stronger than other aspects of their identity, including political party or candidate affiliation. We’re so grateful to our artist partners and their teams for inspiring their fans to take charge of their future.”
