Symphony Technology Group (STG), an investor in the software, data and analytics sectors, has announced the appointment of security veteran Gee Rittenhouse as CEO of McAfee Enterprise.

 

As CEO, Rittenhouse will focus on scaling McAfee Enterprise’s growing business. The security company currently has approximately 3,000 SSE customers and 700 employees.

Rittenhouse brings more than twenty years of expertise in security and cloud. Most recently, he led Cisco’s Security Business Group. He has twice appeared in the Global Telecoms Business Power 100 and is recognized for his innovation and operational focus.

Prior to Cisco, Rittenhouse was president of Bell Labs. He received his PhD in electrical engineering and computer science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

The Symphony Technology Group is expected to rename the McAfee Enterprise SSE portfolio as a separate company later this quarter.
