Four Potential Buyers for TikTok in US, Trump Says

The US government is negotiating with four potential buyers for the US branch of the Chinese-origin app TikTok. President Donald Trump has announced this.
A deal could happen soon, he said. Trump did not name potential buyers. “All four are good,” he said. On Jan. 20, the president gave Chinese TikTok owner ByteDance another 75 days to sell its U.S. operations.
If the sale does not occur, the very popular platform will be banned in the US. A law on this was voted last year with support from Democrats and Republicans. Trump indicated that further delay was still possible.
