Government Source: British Prime Minister Johnson to Reshuffle Cabinet
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson is going to reshuffle his cabinet, anonymous government sources report. With the reshuffle, he would like to promote unity in his country.
It is still unknown which ministers will leave their posts and who will replace them.
The sources say Johnson wants to put in place “a strong team” to help the country recover from the corona pandemic. However, The Guardian’s British newspaper writes about rumours that ministers Priti Patel (Home Affairs) and Dominic Raab (Foreign Affairs) will have to resign.
In February 2020, Johnson overhauled his cabinet in the run-up to Brexit negotiations. At that time, the Minister for Economic Affairs and the Minister for Northern Ireland, among others, were fired.
