Tech company Apple is hiring engineers to develop the future 6G wireless network.

 

This happens a few months after the Americans came on the market with the first iPhones that are suitable for the wireless 5G network.

This week, Apple is posting vacancies for engineers researching wireless systems for current and next-generation networks. The vacancies will include Silicon Valley and San Diego positions, where the company works to develop wireless technology and chip design.

People hired for the positions will “research and design next-generation (6G) wireless communication systems for radio access networks” and “participate in industry / academic forums passionate about 6G technology,” it says.

Tech experts do not expect 6G to be on the market until 2030. Apple’s vacancies indicate that the company wants to be involved in its development from an early stage.

Apple’s early involvement in 6G research and design also indicates that it will not delay its commitment to the next big step forward.
