Putin: Russian Troops Need More Weapons

The Russian armed forces still lack enough weapons, including drones, despite significantly increasing production.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced this on Wednesday on television.
Putin said at a meeting of a defence industry committee that almost all defence companies fulfilled their orders last year. For example, the production of weapons, communication, reconnaissance, and electronic warfare systems has more than doubled.
The troops received more than 4,000 pieces of armoured weapons and 180 fighter planes and helicopters,” the president said. According to him, more than 1.5 million drones of various types have also been produced.
Putin added that there are still too few of these weapons. “I am convinced that all plans to increase the production of the necessary equipment, in this case drones, will certainly be carried out. They are eagerly awaiting it at the front.”
