Israel is Going to Vaccinate Everyone Over 16 Against Coronavirus

Israel is giving even more people access to vaccines against the coronavirus. Anyone who is 16 years or older can get vaccinated from Thursday, the Ministry of Health reports.

Israel is seen wide-reaching as a leader in vaccination. Anyone aged 35 or older can already get injected. Teenagers in the age group 16-18 are already eligible to go to school exams.

With a populace of about 9 million, Israel originally started vaccinating the elderly and then lowered the age limit. By now, about 35 percent of the population would have had at least a first injection. 20 percent have already completed both vaccinations.

Demand for vaccinations seemed to have fallen sharply in recent days. After weeks of long queues at puncture locations, it has now become a lot quiet there. “It’s impressive.

While people in some countries are angry with their governments, almost to the point where they revolt because no vaccines are supplied, they are in storage here,” Health Minister Yuli Edelstein said on the radio.
