Democrat Jon Ossoff has declared himself the winner of the senate election in the state of Georgia.

 

If he’s right, the state’s two Senate seats will go to the Democrats, giving that party a de facto majority in the US upper house thanks to the senate president’s vote.

Democrat Raphael Warnock has already secured the other seat for Georgia, according to US media.
